Growing up in Toluca, Mexico where the smells of garlic, onion, and butter were abundant, Chef Yanitzin Sanchez was inspired to pursue a further journey into the culinary arts. After graduating as Chef International from Institute Culinary of Mexico Puebla, she spent time traveling through Mexico and Europe discovering new flavors and techniques. She landed in Paris where she completed her training at the Ecole de Paris Patisserie Bolangere. She then worked for The Ritz Carlton for a number of years, but after an offer she could not refuse, she made her way to Chicago to impart the knowledge she had gathered to the students of The Art Institute of Chicago. In 2009, she fulfilled her dreams of owning her own restaurant opening the doors of Sabor Saveur, where she blends her culinary backgrounds from both France and Mexico and continues to express her love of cooking through her dishes.

Summer Specials Sprouting at Sabor Saveur
Beginning Tuesday, May 1 through September after 5:00 p.m.
Summer in Chicago has us hungry and thirsty for specials around town. Diners can bring their appetite to Wicker Park where Chef Yanitzin Sanchez dazzles guests with an elegant experience and daily specials to highlight different aspects of the menu. The new summer specials will be available in the dining room and on the patio.
Weekend Brunch Returns to Sabor Saveur
Every Saturday and Sunday beginning Sunday, April 8 from 11:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.
Spring returns so does the popular weekend brunch menu at Sabor Saveur created by Chef Yanitzin Sanchez. Guests are sure to welcome the homecoming of Chef Yanitzin's brunch menu, combining traditional Mexican dishes with her classic French influences and touches. Sunday brunch menu items begin at $16.95 per person and include coffee, buñuelos (cinnamon crisps) and choice of entrée. Brunch returns on Easter Sunday, April 8 and will continue every Saturday and Sunday following.
New 3-Course Menu for Only $35
Recently highlighted by the 2012 Michelin committee, Chef Yanitzin Sanchez of Sabor Saveur, creates a new Mexican French fusion 3-course menu using warming ingredients for the winter months. Available during the weekdays from 5-7 p.m., Sanchez's prix fixe menu includes a choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert for only $35 per person.
